Thiruvananthapuram: Now, Swiss scientists and PIT Solution, a little-heard of IT startup in Technopark in Kerala will be working on the Blue Brain Project, the world's first comprehensive attempt to reverse-engineer the mammalian brain, reports Financial Express.

The $3 billion project is expected to be completed by 2018, said Brain Mind Institute of Swiss Federal Institute Director Henry Markram to Financial Express. The project is billed as an attempt to build a computerized copy of a brain - starting with a rat's brain, and then progressing to a human brain-inside one of the world's most powerful computers. It is an international project, propelled by Swiss Federal Institute, and involves several countries and ethics monitoring by UN bodies. India is yet to be part of the project.The immediate purpose is to understand brain function and dysfunction through detailed simulations. "The study of rhodent brain has given us a template to build on. This would help in unraveling human brain," says Markram. "The whole idea is that mental illness, memory and perception triggered by neurons and electric signals could be soon treated with a supercomputer that models all the 1,000,000 million synapses of brain."

The key finding is that irrespective of gender and race, human brains are basically identical. "We will be able to map the differentiations by nuancing the patterns later. The exciting part is not how different we are but how similar we all are," says Markram.

Get unlimited bandwidth from your host for free

NOTE: This applies only to specific hosting companies, due to the
specific setup needed and does have its drawbacks.

While setting up hosting space with a specific company I often deal
with, I noticed that they used a shared IP. (IP shared by two or more
websites/domains.) Well, the rates for unlimited bandwidth were
around $50+ per month, which I found unreasonable. I didnt require
much space, and didnt want to be limited to a mere 3 gig of traffic
per month.

Back on track... When setting up the acct, the hosting company needs
to know the domain name so that they can direct it accordingly.
(example: 'http://www.123.4.567.890/~user1/ ,
'http://www.123.4.567.890/~user2/ etc)

At this point you can give a url that doesnt belong to you at all. As
long as the nameservers dont change, that should have absolutly no
negative effects on you or your site whatsoever.

How it works is this:
The host propogates you a certain amount space on its servers, and
monitors the traffic that enters their space through the domain its
registered under. Being that the domain isn't connected to the site
at all, it registers ZERO traffic.

Zero traffic registered = can't possibly go over bandwidth
restrictions
can't possibly go over bandwidth restrictions = free unlimited
bandwidth

Now the problems with this (besides the ethical ones) is that your
host may offer X amount of mail addys with the acct
(you@y...) and these will not work, as the name isnt on their
DNS. However, some domain companies allow you to set it up
regardless. Another problem seems to be strictly cosmetic, but can be
highly problematic... Once you attach the domain you want onto the
site, each page comes up/w the ip/UN the host propagated to your
acct. Its at this point where you have to have a phenominal 10-15
character alphanumerical or better (#, &, etc) pw, or your site will
be vulnerable to attack since the attacker already has your UN. This
only gives attackers a slight advantage as the amount of time it
would take to brute force a 10 character pw @ a rate of 1,000,000 per
second is 10 years. Add numbers and case sensitivity to that and it
becomes approx 26,980 years.

While I'm on it, I may as well add that if you use this method,
obviously you are going to be using the lowest cost hosting plan
available, which in turn will offer the least amount of space. Thats
why free hosts were invented.

Free hosts suck as a general rule. Who wants a site smothered in ads?
However, if you upload all your programs, graphics and other large
files (have a backup of course) to a reliable free host and target
them accordingly from your site you have just freed up a signifigant
amount of space. The only setback/w this is having to keep an index
card or file around/w your pws, as you should never use the same one
twice, and want to use complicated ones.

Cleaning Ur RAM
U may recognize that ur system gets slower and slower when playing and working a lot with ur pc. That's cause ur RAM is full of remaining progress pieces u do not need any more.

So create a new text file on ur desktop and call it .. uhm.. "RAMcleaner" or something...

Type

FreeMem=Space(64000000)
in this file and save it as RAMcleaner.vbs [ You may choose the "All Files" option when u save it ]

Run the file and ur RAM may be cleaned :>
Of course u can edit the code in the file for a greater "cleaning-progress".

we'll make a "Lock Computer" Shortcut on your Desktop so you can lock your computer by simply double-clicking on an icon.
On an empty space on your desktop, right click and select "New" then "Shortcut".
You'll see this shortcut wizard Server.
Paste the following line into the "Type the location of this item" box. Click "Next".

This next dialog box will ask for a name for this shortcut. Type in "Lock Computer" or something that makes sense to you. Click "Finish".

Many untrained users have the naive expectation that they can locate anything on the world wide web by using Google or Yahoo or Ask.com. No, as powerful as these search engines are, they do not index everything on the world wide web. In fact, search engines index less than 10% of the entire web! That remaining 90% is called the "Invisible Web", or in other words, "The Cloaked Web" or "The Deep Web". This is the massive content that is publicly available, but hidden from regular search engines.

Indeed, this is a tough concept to grasp - that billions of web pages cannot be found by Google. But it's true, billions of pages are beyond the abilities of search engine cataloging. The robot "spiders" which scan and catalog the world wide web are limited... they cannot see nor index everything.

* Google.com indexes 12.5 billion public web pages.

* 71 billion static web pages are publicly-available. These pages can easily be found by Google and other search engines. (e.g. www.honda.com, www.australia.gov.au)

* 6.5 billion static pages are hidden from the public. As private intranet content, these are the corporate pages that are only open to employees of specific companies. (e.g. employees.honda.com, secure.australia.gov.au)

It’s almost 1am; I just got done watching Randy Paush’s The Last Lecture. Having been diagnosed with brain cancer, this professor of computer science at Garnegie Mellon University gave a talk about life to a group of 500 attendees at the University. The lessons learned can be applied to people of all ages and walks of life.

Randy has some great advice in this piece. You can tell he is incredibly intelligent. And when you combine that kind of intelligence with an ability to speak, educate and socialize, you can truly change the world. I think with this lecture, he has done just that.

Randy’s lecture has generated national attention online (the YouTube video has over 2 million 600 thousand hits) and the print version of this lecture continues to be a best-seller.

My favorite part of the video is his “head fake” analogy. He expalained that when you make people believe they’re having fun and not learning, that’s when you can teach them the most. He’s absolutely right.

Randy emphasized the importance of childhood dreams. One of his biggest dreams was to play in the NFL. Not having totally completed this dream, Randy said that it doesn’t matter, because he’s taken lessons from football that he carried over to his life as an educator.

Telling myself that I would only watch a few minutes of the video, I ended up staying up the entire one hour and 18 minutes to finish this lecture.

Randy is an excellent example of an individual who has changed the world. And he just happened to have played sports as a child. Coincidence? Probably not.

A Major Notice If you are behind a router you will need to port forward your router. To do this you can use a DMS. Its hard to explain as every router has a different interface ( homepage that has a different layout ) so i suggest you go to Google and search portforward.com. It will teach you how to port forward your router there.

To begin with you will need these three tools,download them given below:

1.Daemon_Crypt

2.PC_GUard

3.Yuri_Rat

After downloading these tools ur first step is to open Yuri Rat and then click on server build

You should now have the following the screen

In this screen I want you to put your IP address into the DNS/IP section.

To get IP Address go to Start > Run > Type CMD and hit enter. When the black box appears type in IPCONFIG. You will then have your IP Address

Port: You Can Leave As Default (-7898-)

Assigned Name: Doesn’t effect how the server will work its just to keep you more organized so if you wanted to hack your friend “JOE” and specifically make this server for him then you may want to type something like “JOES TROJAN”.

Server Install Name: You should leave this as default as I myself don’t know what the difference is as every server you make is named server when it is 1st created anyway. Do not change it as it may make problems but I am not sure.

Ok as you can see there are more settings on the right hand side. I am going to recommend you settings for different purposes.

To Hack A Friend For Fun: Uncheck Everything Unless You Want To Do Optional
(OPTIONAL) Melt Server - Your server will disappear into another folder
(OPTIONAL) Custom Icon if you want to make it more believable or something then get an icon of super Mario or something you get my drift

To Find Out Valuable Information: Check Everything

Now You Are Finished Click Build.

Your server will then be saved to your C:\ or Hard Drive which ever you know it as. Now we are going to make the server about 90% Undetectable. Only once has one of my servers been detected by an anti virus and I think it was a Norton not sure which version. Ive scanned more then once with Kasper Sky & Symantec Anti Virus and every time they said its clean so lets begin

Open Up Daemon Crypt

Select Your File by clicking browse and going to the folder your server is in. If you have not moved it, it will most likely be in C:\

So Now You Have This

Click On Crypt and then you can close Daemon Tools

Now Install Your Pc Guard for Win32

When you open it you should get this

Ok you have to do basically the same thing as what you did with daemon tools. Click Browse and then find your server so that you have this

You then want to click on the General Settings and put these settings

Ok now you want to go to customization and make sure nothing is ticked

For the last step you want to click the protection methods tab and set it to plain. And then click on protect

Your server is now undetectable =)

Ok so now we created our server and everything is ready to go. Now our real work start trapping, say ur friend this is nice article on hacking or a sexy pic of a star, or u can trap him/her depending upon thier likes, The Server has been send to their system & they have opened it. If you checked the melt server option then the server will basically evaporate into their computer.

Ok so now you have the server running on there comp and it has opened up the default port for you to connect to.

Once again open Yuri Rat and click on listen. Yuri rat will then listen for your online servers that you have gave to people running on the default port 7898. If the person who you sent the rat to is not online you cant connect. When the server you sent out to his/her a balloon notification will pop up. Note that yuri rat should still be listening for the servers. The server will show up in yuri rat. You right click and press connect. And there you go. you are now successfully connected to your victim

Now withoutt up-loading plugins from yuri rat to his/hers pc u r able to operate certain files or programs such as download files from there pc & place ur files onto his/her pc.

When you are connected click on plug ins and them upload all of them.

You will then have access to keyloggers, screen capture and much more. If you get stuck click on the help button and it will tel you more about plugins

Client-side scripting generally refers to the class of computer programs on the web that are executed client-side, by the user's web browser, instead of server-side (on the web server). This type of computer programming is an important part of the Dynamic HTML (DHTML) concept, enabling web pages to be scripted; that is, to have different and changing content depending on user input, environmental conditions (such as the time of day), or other variables.

Web authors write client-side scripts in languages such as JavaScript (Client-side JavaScript) and VBScript.

Here are two tricks I thought of sharing to all you people who like to surf the web from their workplace but don't want others to look at what they are browsing. In many companies employees are not allowed to use the internet during the work hours, however many employees still prefers to surf during their spare time. Here are the tricks, you could try..

Trick no.1: A browser called Maxthon, which is freely available on the net has a functionality call the 'Boss Key'. This is nothing but a feature to hide the browser. There is a shortcut to hide and unhide the browser Alt + ~ key combination like a toggle switch. The option can be found in File Menu. If you are not allowed to download this software from your workplace, transfer this via USB drive/CD. So now you can surf and use the 'Boss Key' to hide the browser.

Trick no.2: On the same lines as above, here we have an application called the 'Boss Key' which hides the active application, be it a browser, folder, application etc.. During their heyday from the late 1970s to the mid 1990s, many BBSes were run as a hobby free of charge by the system operator (or "sysop"), while other BBSes charged their users a subscription fee for access, or were operated by a business as a means of supporting their customers. Still others were run by Internet service providers as part of their service to subscribers.

The term BBS currently may also be used to refer to any online forum or message board.

Bulletin board systems were in many ways a precursor to the modern form of the World Wide Web and other aspects of the Internet. BBSes were a highly social phenomenon and were used for meeting people and having discussions on message boards, as well as for publishing articles, downloading software, playing games and many more things, all using a single application.

The BBS was also a local phenomenon, as one had to dial into a BBS with a phone line and would have to pay additional long distance charges for a BBS out of the local area, as opposed to less expensive local charges. Thus, many users of a given BBS usually lived in the same area, and activities such as BBS Meets or Get Togethers (GTs or GTGs), where everyone from the board would gather and meet face to face (F2F), were common. As the use of the Internet became more widespread, BBSes rapidly faded in popularity.

Note:---Orkut is bugged. If u get any scrap with window video and script in spanish but text is english then dont open it or download it. Its a trojan which later tells u to download a antispyware and then asks for ur credit card number. Delete that scrap immediately from ur scrap book. Suggest New Features To Orkut

Well i have posted this many times before on how to suggest Orku to add new features..
But many people still don't seem to know that so i thought about making a new topic on this..

One of the Top suggestions Orkut received was of Photos in albums. Ofcoarse 12 Photos were not good enough for Orkut's Users now Orkut have increased it to 100 photos and have also allowed it's users to Make new Albums
Another Top suggestion was to of Privacy..
Orkut have now added enough features which make there Privacy Settings much better..
although there are still some bugs in it..But it is pretty good as Orkut is still in Beta stage.
Orkut have now launched privacy settings for both album, scrapbook, videos and testimonials so that you can chose who you want to share your content with.

MAKE ORKUT ACCOUNT WITH A ID

U can make an orkut account with an ID which never by using a very nice method.
Use address guard features of Yahoo
First of all make an ID on yahoo india or yahoo asia
dont make on yahoo US
this option is not in yahoo US
I dont know about all countries and continents
but I know about India and Asia
now after making the account
go to options
written at the write side when u r using classic mail
click options
and go to address guard
now create a base name
u can see the tutorial which yahoo wants u to see to learn how to use address guard
now make an address guard
now sign up for orkut using that ID only
and after confirmation and all
delete the address guard base name
and all IDs are deleted related to that base name
but still orkut is working
but actually now this no real id for it
well u can also delete only the particular ID
associated with orkut account

Here is a tip for all Orkut users… Have you ever tried to access orkut on your mobile browser, or even OPERA MINI. If you have tried, you must surely know what happens……….

Let me tell u for those who have not tried it..
The login box does not appear…. As a result you cannot sign in and therefore, to say as a whole, ORKUT CANNOT BE ACCESSED ON MOBILE!!!!!

But here is a trick for all to ACCESS ORKUT ON YOUR MOBILE.. You need to do nothing, just follow the link-
